Interior Fall Decor Trends to Lean Into in 2025

Hey there, friends! Happy fall! Looong time no talk. We’ve been quieter than we’d like on the blog this year, but not because we’ve been resting! This year has been full of MANY personal life changes and challenges, and yet it has been our busiest year in business thus far – all thanks to you!

The Sapphire + Co Design team has been busy behind the scenes in 2025 transforming spaces, layering in thoughtful details, and designing homes that feel both timeless and curated. As we dive head first into fall, we couldn’t resist popping back in to share what decor trends are inspiring us the most this season.

At the top of our list this year – a home that genuinely feels like YOU. Don’t be afraid to fall in love with a soulful, more lived-in look. Let’s dive into specifics, shall we?

Fall Decor Trends

5 Distinct Decor Trends Emerging this Fall that We’re Loving

(and suggest you take time to incorporate into your own homes this season) –

1.Vintage Items

We’ve always been believers in mixing old with new, but 2025 is taking it a step further. Designers are leaning into vintage finds that tell a story — from timeworn wood furniture to unique trinkets that have lived a little. A well-placed antique can give even the most modern home a sense of character and authenticity. And let me tell you – the hunger for authenticity this year is HUGE. Embrace this timeless surge by taking the time to look around your home or storage areas for pieces you once loved and try to use them in a new way. After all, heirloom pieces and thrifted finds create a space with soul.

2. Earthy Color Palettes

It’s no secret that we’ve been seeing a heavy shift away from stark whites and cool grays toward rooted, organic tones. Think rich ochres, mossy greens, baked terracotta, and deep browns that bring warmth and depth to a space. These colors ground a room and instantly make it feel more inviting — perfect for fall layering. Scared to fully commit to that color drenched space? Swap an anchor piece for something more bold in tone to provide a space new energy without a full redesign. I.E. a warm clay velvet sofa, or a deep mulberry cocktail table can change the mood of a room instantaneously.

3. Soft Curves Everywhere

Gone are the days of sharp, angular furniture dominating a room. This season, we’re seeing gentle curves and rounded silhouettes in seating, tables, and even lighting. These forms feel inviting, approachable, and add a layer of softness that balances beautifully with the structure of architectural lines.

4. Metallic Moments

Move over, brass — polished nickel is having a moment. Brass has certainly dominated the design world over the last few years, but this year we’re seeing a come back in nickel finishes. Of course the warmth of brass will always be captivating, but the radiance of polished nickel is making an appearance in lighting, cabinet and door hardware, as well as bathroom finishes. A little shine goes a long way in adding dimension and elegance to a space.

5. Layered Textures for a Cozy Finish

Tactile richness is everything this season. Think grass cloth, mohair, linen, and natural stone working together to create depth and comfort. The real magic happens in layering of different finishes — rough with refined, matte with glossy — bringing a space to life and making it feel intimate & intentional over time.

Fall 2025 is about creating spaces that feel both grounded and elevated — rooms that tell a story through texture, tone, and the thoughtful mix of old and new. Whether you’re updating your living room or simply swapping in a few new accessories, leaning into these trends will bring warmth and balance to your home as the seasons change.
